What To Expect:

- 1,000 foot total elevation drop from beginning to end
- Fully narrated off-road adventure to and from the zip line course

What To Bring:
- Closed toe shoes are required. Keen brand shoes available for purchase at the KapohoKine Adventures store
- Shorts, pants and t-shirts are ok
- Light jacket, sunglasses and hat suggested
- Bring your still or video camera to take advantage of photo ops galore
Requirements:
Zipline tours are not for pregnant women or anybody with current or pre-existing heart, neck, or back conditions or injuries. Guests are required to sign a liability waiver on arrival. Guests must be able to negotiate stairs, and lift 15 pounds. Guests must weigh between 60 and 260 pounds and refunds cannot be given to guests that are under or over the weight limits. Changes and cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance of tour time for a full refund. Our facilities except for the zip line are ADA compliant, and we make every effort to accommodate guests of every ability.
8-Line Zipline Adventure
Line 1
Hugging the Hilo Forest Reserve, our first line starts the course out with a bang! Climb the suspended staircase and you and your first zip partner will enjoy the ocean views high above Hilo-town. Listen for the calls of our native birds in the forest behind the platform, then see what it feels like to join them in the air as you speed towards line 2
Line 2
Connected to line 1 with a suspended staircase, line 2 has even more impressive views of the coastline and Hilo Bay. It will deliver you to the steep banks of the raging Honolii river where you will cross a suspension bridge to line 3
Line 3
Looking mauka (towards the mountain), you'll catch vistas of Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea, the two huge volcanoes that make up the bulk of Hawaii Island. Turn to the south and you'll be treated to views of smoke and steam rising from the Pu'u O'o vent of Kilauea Volcano. Line 3 takes you along the river over a native Hawaiian rainforest filled with old-growth ohia and koa trees to line 4.
Line 4
Connected to line 3 with a suspension bridge, line 4 is a real stunner. Starting 200 feet over the valley below, the cliff below you drops away to reveal a double-tiered waterfall that will melt your heart. Swivel around in your harness if you can and feel the power of this 120 foot tall stunner of a waterfall. If it's really raging, you'll be enveloped in mist from the falls as you glide across the pool below. A unique and top-secret exit from this line will leave you giggling in your harness.
Hale Ho'onanea
The end of line 4 brings you to our pavilion known as Hale Ho'onanea, or "house of peace". The name becomes obvious as you sit and enjoy the views of the waterfall as your new zipline buddies complete their adventure on line 4. Light snacks and beverages are provided here, as are restrooms. This is also the location where lunch will be waiting for those guests opting for our convenient and delicious lunch delivery program.
Guests on the 4 line adventure will be picked up here and returned to Hale Halawai for their trip back to Hilo. Guests on the 8 line tour will continue on to line 5 after their break.

Sandwiches are all served on house-made sourdough rolls with gluten-free option available:
- Curried Turkey & Macadamia Nut Sandwich (Fresh roasted turkey, cranberries, macadamia nuts, celery, mayo, curry and romaine)
- Catch of the Day (Fresh seasonal catch of the day [ono, mahi mahi or ahi], capers, seasoned mayo and romaine)
- Deli-style Turkey (Sliced deli turkey, cheese, fresh tomato, romaine with mustard, mayo and vegenaise on the side)
- Roasted Veggie (Fresh roasted eggplant, zucchini, summer squash, sweet Maui onions, tomatoes with a kalamata olive tapenade and seasoning)
Sandwiches come with a choice of side:
